ngc4147 Number of visits: 6 cohort types: med, short Priority Levels (in descending order): 'anc': ancillary targets 'hr': stars with existing high resolution spectroscopy 'pm': stars with proper motion data indicating probable cluster membership 'sqo2': W+D giants as selected using Nidever giant selection criteria and J-K_raw > 0.3. 'sqo3': low S/N W+D giants as selected using Nidever selection criteria, J-K_raw > 0.3, these stars use the H magnitude cuts for long targets (12.8 < H_raw < 13.3). 'sqo4': W+D dwarfs as selected using Nidever giant selection criteria and J-K_raw > 0.5. 'sqo5': W+D dwarfs as selected using Nidever giant selection criteria and 0.3 < J-K_raw < 0.5. 'sqo6': stars with no W+D data and J-K_raw > 0.3. Fiber Distribution: M1 124 S1 126 S2 126 Notes: IMPORTANT: The giant/dwarf/no W+D photometry selection was incorrect. We thought that the giant flag in the SQO files corresponded to -1=dwarf, 0=no W+D, 1=giant but the in reality -1=no W+D, 0=dwarf, 1=giant. The targets selected in sqo4 and sqo5 were intended to be stars without W+D photometry are they actually dwarfs. The reverse situation occurred with the targets selected in sqo6 (we wanted to choose dwarfs but got stars without W+D photometry). Note that the legend in the CMD is also incorrectly labeled (it reflects the intended selection criteria, not the acutal selection criteria). No proper motion targets were selected due to fiber collisions with high resolution targets. No RV targets were provided. NGC 4147 is compact on the sky (2 arcmin), so BHA chose to observe 1 medium and 2 short targets as opposed to 2 medium targets to maximize the number of high resolution targets observed. Only short targets from the sqo6 priority level were selected to maximize the number of these targets. No color cut used for proper motion targets. Proper motion targets were not randomized. SQO targets were not randomized from the original SQO, so they were selected based on position in the sky (not exactly sequentially in RA or DEC, but clustered on the sky). The magnitude sampling was still essentially random. Used uncorrected colors for color cut on SQO targets. Used fiber jacket diameter of 70", which is too small to avoid all fiber collisions (need 71.5"). Revision of gc_target_ngc4147.py used to select target list: 127846
