We found that flux can vary 10 to 30% for different plates or different sides of the same plate. Are these variation due to gang connector? Howard worked on IRS and DIMM this afternoon. All systems were checked out, and working properly. No adjustment made to spectro collimation, it still set for 3 C. 00:10Z started ventilation. We went to the field with even numbered guide fibers enabled. Flux over three minutes was 27 +/- 0.5 counts per second after setting the scale and focus. When the odd numbered fibers were added, the scale error went to 0.004. The flux without the requested scale change stayed at about 27 cps. When the requested scale change of .004 was done, the counts over three minutes averaged 28 cps +/- 0.5 cps under similar seeing. We then disabled the odd numbered fibers again and a scale error of -.004 was shown. This correction was made, and the counts again averages 27 +/- 0.5 cps with similar seeing (1.6 asec FWHM). We repeated enabling all fibers, and the counts went back to 28 +/- 0.5 cps when the seeing was 1.6asec FWHM. Conclusion: The change in flux when all fibers are enabled is just a little above the noise. Seeing is the dominant effect. 10:21Z - Cartridge 8, plate 3091a - MARVELS survey -------------------------------------------------- GSOGTF First Guider Frame: 0637 One 50 minute exposure 11:31Z - Cartridge 5, plate 3277b - MARVELS survey -------------------------------------------------- GSOGTF First Guider Frame: 0833 One 50 minute exposure 12:30Z - Cartridge 2, plate 3005 - MARVELS pre-selection -------------------------------------------------------- Needed an FK5 to find the field 2 12 s exposures 3 20 s exposures postcal 13:25Z - Closed enclosure 13:30Z - endNight rejoiced ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7962 23:41Z 23:59Z 100 O -151.32 -146.88 44 ignore ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot az el --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields alt az nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- Summary Checked (y/n): QA Procedures Done (y/n): UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 58824, plate -9999 ------- 23:51 58824 0.0 bias ----- sequence 58825, plate 3210 ------- 00:15 58825 10.0 flat 00:17 58826 2.0 arc 00:21 58827 3.0 arc 00:24 58828 3.0 arc ----- sequence 58829, plate -9999 ------- 00:31 58829 0.0 bias 00:33 58830 0.0 bias ----- sequence 58831, plate 3210 ------- 01:43 58831 10.0 flat 01:45 58832 2.0 arc 02:21 58833 1800.0 target 02:54 58834 1800.0 target 02:57 58835 10.0 flat 02:59 58836 2.0 arc ----- sequence 58837, plate 3229 ------- 03:19 58837 10.0 flat 03:21 58838 2.0 arc 03:55 58839 1800.0 target 04:28 58840 1800.0 target 04:32 58841 10.0 flat 04:34 58842 2.0 arc 05:09 58843 1800.0 target 05:42 58844 1800.0 target 05:45 58845 10.0 flat 05:48 58846 2.0 arc ----- sequence 58847, plate 3005 ------- 12:46 58847 13.0 target 12:49 58848 12.0 target 12:53 58849 21.0 target 12:56 58850 20.0 target 12:59 58851 21.0 target 13:03 58852 10.0 flat 13:05 58853 2.0 arc ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 01:50Z 7 3210 -95.63 0.0001 70.23 0.0020 97.21 0.0025 1.000030 03:26Z 6 3229 109.17 0.0052 60.03 0.0021 -92.24 0.0132 0.999970 06:08Z 9 3088 243.39 0.0013 60.53 0.0020 85.42 0.0280 0.999970 07:18Z 9 3088 244.16 0.0018 53.41 0.0021 92.25 0.0244 0.999960 08:20Z 4 3219 209.35 0.0018 52.05 0.0009 59.43 0.0113 0.999900 09:24Z 1 3283 239.72 -0.0007 69.00 0.0024 74.51 0.0121 0.999920 10:34Z 8 3091 287.37 0.0004 46.24 0.0023 124.71 0.0034 0.999990 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 01:50Z 7 3210 1.00003 -295 1185 300 -96 70.2 1.1 19 261 -- 1.7" 03:26Z 6 3229 0.99997 296 1588 190 109 60.0 0.7 9 259 -- 1.9 06:08Z 9 3088 0.99997 297 1421 25 243 60.5 -0.6 15 202 -- 1.3 07:18Z 9 3088 0.99996 395 1547 50 244 53.4 -0.2 20 210 -- 1.5 08:20Z 4 3219 0.99990 986 2141 150 209 52.1 -0.8 21 240 -- 1.6 09:24Z 1 3283 0.99992 789 1897 110 240 69.0 -1.2 12 232 -- 1.7 10:34Z 8 3091 0.99999 99 1395 120 287 46.2 -0.9 17 232 -- 1.4 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 22:10Z 39 -5 14 259 (W) 940 - clear 22:42Z 39 1 4 183 (S) 783 - ' 23:14Z 39 0 10 223 (SW) 946 - ' 23:46Z 34 -3 16 244 (WSW) 1091 - ' 00:18Z 34 -1 10 223 (SW) 1237 - ' 00:50Z 32 -3 11 206 (SSW) 1156 - ' 01:20Z 33 -6 17 235 (SW) 1318 - ' 01:50Z 33 -8 19 260 (W) 1131 - ' 02:23Z 32 -6 10 266 (W) 1232 - ' 02:53Z 31 -4 10 242 (WSW) 1213 - ' 03:26Z 32 -3 8 264 (W) 1252 - ' 03:59Z 32 -1 8 228 (SW) 1249 - ' 04:31Z 32 2 13 224 (SW) 1225 - ' 05:02Z 33 0 9 229 (SW) 1359 - ' 05:32Z 33 -1 14 228 (SW) 1432 - ' 06:03Z 31 0 15 214 (SW) 1390 - ' 06:36Z 32 0 15 199 (SSW) 1335 - ' 07:08Z 31 4 21 203 (SSW) 1124 - ' 07:40Z 31 5 17 217 (SW) 1174 - ' 08:10Z 30 6 11 241 (WSW) 1050 - ' 08:43Z 30 6 19 228 (SW) 1074 - ' 09:14Z 30 5 15 233 (SW) 1146 - ' 09:45Z 31 1 18 232 (SW) 1253 - ' 10:17Z 30 -2 16 232 (SW) 1256 - ' 10:47Z 30 -3 14 245 (WSW) 1344 - ' 11:17Z 29 -3 15 240 (WSW) 1274 - ' 11:47Z 29 -3 12 238 (WSW) 1198 - ' 12:17Z 30 -4 16 224 (SW) 1285 - ' 12:49Z 29 -4 12 212 (SSW) 1209 - ' ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- 00:10Z - Began ventilation.
