We were planning to switch to SEGUE at about 6:10Z but non-photometric conditions prevented us to do so. At 10:35Z, because of moon, we could not switch to lower priority SEGUE strip. So we let the SN strip keep going till lambda -111. we have a few problems --- see problem sections for details. morning checkup found that Bellows pressure for SDSS camera read 44 lb, 4 lb higher than normal value. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ------------ While doing an imager bias, i5 became unhappy. We tried to contact Connie but was unsuccessful. We did reach Jim Gunn, and he said to proceed with imaging if Rick Kessler was okay with the problem. I talked to Rick, and he said that we should go ahead with the superNova program. Night: ----------------- 01:45Z, Run 5669: After starting the 82N superNova stripe, we were not getting any stars on dewar-3. So, we stopped and rebooted photo-one. 02:00Z, Run 5670, restarted the scanning of 82N at lambda 112. The pointing, focus were good since the begining. Seeing was good, too, at about 1.1". 10:25z, frame 839, scaning starting ramp. 10:35z, frame 852, end the ramp. 11:15z, frame 934 end the drfit at lambda -111. 05:00Z, clouds start to form. 05:30z, skies become non-photometric, and the seeing start to climbing but still under "GOOD" category till 6:30 when it went acceptable, and went bad at 6:55Z. At about 7:25, frame 500, the seeing back to good, but the skies were not photometric. At 9:20Z, skies and seeing became photometric, but it already passed the SEGUE starting-time: 9:05Z. At 10:35z, the SN scan ended. The seeing and skies were photometric, but There was only about 30 mintues before moon rise. Therefore, we decide not to switch to a low priority SEGUE strip. Although there was about one hour before morning twilight, we could not switch to spectrocopy because no plugged catriage is avaiable after 10:30Z. then, we decide to let the SN scan continue. Because of non-photometric conditions, we decided not to swicth to SEGUE. about 6:30z, around frame 460, id5 turned blue (we were displaying only i chips at that moment). see problem section for more detail. 11:20z, Run 5671, on sky bias.
