The gap is closed now. Stripe 78 N imaged between the lambdas 145.5 and 161 , including ramps. Exposed the following Marvels survey plates: 3074 (c. 7), 3075 (c. 8),& 3078 (c.1). Twilight test in the morning twilight. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- Reset focus on sp1 and sp2 by -2000, using cart 2 (SEGUE) to match early night predicted temp of about 6 C. Noted a hazy inversion layer in the basin. Maybe some smoke from S. Cal? I Heard a faint scraping noise from the sp2 slithead when I removed cartridge 1. If the cone fans had been on, I doubt I would have heard it. It was about at the point where the top of the cartridge slitheads would be near the slithead latches.
