APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Wednesday January 27, 2010 (MJD 55224) ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- Howard Brewington Dan Oravetz Steph Snedden Support: Jon Brinkmann Fritz Stauffer ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- Science! and Flex Engineering ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- The night was lost to clouds and snow. We completed MARVELS cals. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- This was a very minimal afternoon checkout. hub25m was down so that Fritz and Jon could move it to a secure network, plus work on mcp and tpm support on hub25m. This meant the afternoon checks with STUI were delayed. Checks at the telescope were fine. The ultra-high purity N2 for the imager was low, so we switched to the full tank. Ventilation was delayed. Precip was approaching. 00:00Z - boss-icc was back up on the private network. STUI and the actors were running, but we still didn't have connections to the boss and gcamera iccs. Jon was working on this, and we sent an email to Paul for instructions on restarting the gcamera icc. 23:30Z - ThAr lamp on. Night: ----- 01:20Z - Jon got the BOSS actor up and running. We had clouds and snow the rest of the night. We completed MARVELS cals. There is more information about the calibration exposures in the Spectro section. 11:12Z - Howard cleared a small path to the enclosure and then turned things off. Still lots of radar returns and snow; we called it a night. 11:18Z - endNight finished. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot az el --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields alt az nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- Summary Checked (y/n): QA Procedures Done (y/n): Exposure Name Flavor Exp.
