An initial analysis of the SOP goSpecFocus and IDLSPEC2D collimate procedures shows they both underestimate the deviation from focus for both r and b camera. The ability of the spectrograph collimation motions to accurately return to prior positions seems very good. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- This section gives details of the steps made. The files for the exposures have not been written to tape, but have been copied to the directory: sdsshost:/data/spectro/collimation_data_MJD52011/ At the start, T_truss = 7.3C. At the end, T_truss = 6.8C. Altitude = 30, rotator = 0 throughout. We start after focusing all four cameras to mean offsets <= 0.07 pixels, and then perform most of the sequence called for in PR 3853.
