APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Saturday April 2, 2005 (MJD 53463) ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- Howard Brewington Dan Long Mike Harvanek (swing) ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- Science! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- Battling variable high clouds and variable seeing, we finished five plates (2056, 2090, 1763, 1981, 1685) and got useless signal on a sixth. We had more instances of SoS complaining about low numbers of arc lines in the red camera arcs. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Recovery from the single failed drive (id4-2) from last night was achieved by following the standard procedure for such an occurrence. Recovery went without incident. The spectro collimation was adjusted due to the warmer temperature tonight. See the Problems section for details. No problems to report. Night: ------ 22:35Z Imager Ion pump event about half an hour ago. Imstat now showing levels around .3 microTorr. 00:35Z High clouds moving in from the SW.
