APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Sunday July 2, 2006 (MJD 53919) ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- Swing: Viktor Malanushenko, Shannon, Jurek & Steph Snedden Night: Viktor Malanushenko Jurek Krzesinski Shannon Watters ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- Science! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- Clouds during night. We observed three plates, one of them done. Some signal has collected on two other plates. Plate 2537 - was observed in twilight, sos did not reduce r1 complaining about saturated rows. We declared that exposure bad, but we think, that it actualy might be ok, but some bright stars are messing up with the reduction. Please check on that exposure, because we might try to finish that plate within next couple of www.nights.com One too large to correct error in altitude. Dust counter doesn't work from 03:00Z. The 3.5 m estimations got dust's level less than 700 part. during the night. According to the request of Jim & Connie, we mounted the imager and left the telescope at zenith. T-bars are in operation mode (unlatched) and the counterweights are fully down; spectro dewars refilled. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- 02:25Z Open enclosure Cartridge 4 Plate 1816, chunk94 03:01Z Goto field, used FK5 star Clouds all the time. But we could'nt reduced correctly, i.e. has saturated rows at red CCD's. Declared as BAD but someone needs to look at it because we believe it is okay.
