Steph is working on that night too, so forgive us a small celebration and... some holes in the sky coverage ;). Good time never ends! SN: 82 S observed from lambda 113 -> -166 including the ramps. Problems: teamster died third night in a row on us. DIMM - not run tonight (the screen was dead or power to the computer was off?). ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon Checkout: ------------------- It is clear, almost photometric, T=11.1C, wind up to 15 mph, humidity 46%. All systems are checked and work fine. Spectro focus has been ajusted for T=9C. The current spectro flat looks normal. Night: -------- We cleaned the cloud camera lens today and got further improvement on sky std. Unfortunately the artefact adds to the noise therefore the std shows nonphotometric weather. Inspite of that we call it photometric at sun set. 01:10 imager mounted. Run 6376 - bias on the telescope. 02:02Z Run 6377, stripe 82 S. Skippy happy, seeing 1.2", phtometric. Good since the beginning. Run starts at frame: 10, lambda 108 and science from frame 24, lambda 10, 5 degrees in twilight. Twilight starts at frame: 44, lambda 113, which is also the beginning of the ramp. Science begins at frame: 57, lambda 115. 03:52Z no gang transfer id4,id5,id6 - teamster is dead, restarted. Teamster died third day in a row now. 06:14Z By the time we were thinking about going for last part of Segue stripe, we noticed that we might not have time for that before clouds arrive. Sure enough, the clouds did arrive, so we stayed on 82 S. 06:25Z Nonphotometric, seeing gets worse. 07:45Z Drift ended. Science ends at frame 571, lambda -168, ramp ends at frame 584, lambda -166. 08:16Z The weather looks better, we backed off the telescope to start where we stopped. Run 6378, stripe 82 S. Frame 12, lambda -170 start of the ramp. Science starts at frame 25, lambda -168. Bad seeing, skippy is happy. Clouds. Unfortunately due to the clouds the run is not useful. We stopped it at frame 78 lambda -160 and called it bad (flavor science). 10:51Z endNight happy.
