We did get some signal on plates 2629, 2668, and 2501. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ----------- sp1 was unhappy this afternoon: see error message in the Problems Section. French had to reboot the spectro power supplies, and I did an iack. The spectro collimation was checked but not adjusted; see Problems Section for spectro numbers. Night: ----------- 0050Z Cart 2, plate 2629, seguefaint155. Needed 2 gflats. GSOGTF. T=1.4C, relfocus=240, seeing ~1.5". Fiber 6 was disabled, fiber 11 isn't being displayed, and fiber 7 is not in use (no light on gflat so we figure it's broken or just not connected). 0225Z - The third science exposure failed to read out. Watcher informed us that there was no response from sp1 camera serial line (see problems). Science exposures: 2 x 1200 0450Z Cart 9, plate 2668, segue158. Needed 2 gflats. GSOGTF. T=1.3C, relfocus=60 , seeing ~1.9. Science exposures: 2 x 1200 SOS wasn't happy with the S/N for the red cameras on these exposures but the segue bright plate's requirements are only for the blue cameras. 1027Z Cart 6, plate 2501, chunk143. Needed 2 gflats. GSOGTF. T=3.6C, relfocus=0 , seeing ~2.4" Changed the spectrograph focus to correspond to a 2 degree increase in temp ("mechPiston +2000" for both sp1 and sp2). We found the power supply in failure mode (red lights) so we rebooted it (like they did in the afternoon). It came back up okay but we still couldn't communicate with sp1. French found the micro circuit board wasn't seated correctly into its connector. He seated it properly and the problem was solved. We lost ~3 hours and an exposure.
