We did spectroscopy and have two segue plates (2629 and 2410) DONE and obtained some signal on two other plates. We did not get any useful signal on baotest plate because of clouds. Twice during the observations our rotator aborted and we had to stop some exposure. Axis init and movement of rotator using tcc commands return rotator to operation. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- No problem to report with Afternoon checkout. Spectro focus was checked and not adjusted: detail in the Problems section. The Spectro are set for a Temp = 2C. Night: ---------- 00:10Z Enclosure Open Cart 2 Plate 2629 seguefaint used FK5 to find stars. We have had rotator abort with huge error on MCP menu. We axis init and slightly moved rotator to some directions and it worked fine. We need to set the guider stars again. 1:15 precal 1.21,1:49,2:17 science with total exposure 4500. 2:40 postcal The plate is DONE with s/n=16.6 and total s/n=54.5 including previously obtained signal. We have obtained nessary signal in two exposures but we did not have any other plates availble right now so we observe one bonus exposure for this plate. It is going to be cloudy soon. Cartridge 3 Plate 2638. baotest157. Used FK5 to fing guider stars. 03:05Z precalib 03:11Z science, but rotator is braked and we lost the guider stars. We aborted this exposure, issued "axis init" and sent telescope to field again. No more problem. 03:17 precalibration after second gotofield. is it right? 03:22, 03:45, 04:13 - science exposures. s/n coefficients were very low because of clouds and we declared all three exposures bad. No useful data is obtained on this plate tonight. Clouds, cannot see stars, but we have replaced the current cartridge to the next with high priority in case if we can observe. Cartridge 9 2673 seguefaint, Used FK5 to find the guider stars. 5:25 Precalibration. 5:40, 6:03, 6:35, 7:03 Science exposures with total time 5700. Three of them have been declared bad because clouds and total obtained signal is 2.9. Efficiency is very low. We wait for better weather condition but by this time the plate is expared. Cartridge 7 plate 2410. We loaded the plate and wait for weather. 9:02 precalibration. 9:25,9:48,11:11,10:34,10:57, and 11:27 Science with total exposure 7200. 11:19 postacl as requested. The plate is DONE with total s/n=52.6. Cartridge 4 plate 2580. 12:03 precalibration. 12:09,12:27 Science with 900 sec exposure Total exposure 10.7.
