Last two hours was lost to clouds. We finished three plates: 1791, 2781, and 1725; got signals on seguefaint plate 2187. Notes: the first exposure (frame # 45364) for plate 2781 was taken under a condition of SP1 being slightly out of focus. We did NOT declared this exposure bad, But we did not count signal from this exposure when we declared the plate is DONE. one gauge for emergency power supply is reading slightly lower: 13.2 (normal is 14). ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- All systems checked and working. Didn't make any adjustments to the spectro focus. They are set for ~11C using cart 2. Night: ----- 03:00Z cart 2, plate 1791 (chunk). FK5 used to acquire the field. Set up everything and wait for the time to start the first exposure. 03:40Z started 15 min exposure. The plate was Done with two 15-min exposures, combined with signals from mjd 54265. 04:20Z cart 5, plate 2781 (chunk). GSOGTF. The first exposure was token under the condition of SP1 being slightly out of focus. We decided to not declared it as bad because the data for SP2 should still be good. However, we did not count signal from the exposure. In other word, three exposures taken after spectrograph focus adjustment having smallest total S/N^2 on r1 greater than 14. During the second exposure, clouds came in, it was declared BAD. The plate was DONE. 06:30Z cart 6, plate 1725 (chunk). GSOGTF. Seeing at 1.1". The plate was DONE with one exposure combined with signals got on mjd 54265. 07:10Z cart 7, plate 2187 (sequefaint). FK5 used to acquire the field. At about 08:20Z, clouds came in.
