We imaged SN strip 82 N from lambda=117 to -175.8 (including ramps). Skippy was never happy (see problems, PR 7381) but LtMatch verified that the rotator pointing was good. We had to image the strip with 2 runs (6916 & 6917) because the azimuth aborted during 6916. After starting run 6917 the "seeingRun" had an offset of 5 degrees in lambda (see log). Run 6917 was stopped because of high humidity. In the imaging summary the start and end lambda's for each run are the same (shouldn't be) and the start and end lambda's for 6916 and 6917 are identical but in reality they were not. There is another dead rat in a trap in the enclosure. We move the enclosure and leave the doors open all night so the traps are basically outside. Who's hungry? ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ----------- During the afternoon checkout of the 2.5-meter telescope while slewing in Alt and Rot, I noticed that the Rot axis made a humming noise when it was moved from 00 to +40 degrees. It's the same sound the rot axis made several months ago. The spectro focus/collimation was checked but not adjusted. The focus is set to about 12-degrees C. The numbers are posted in the Problems Section. Watcher reported sp2's mechanicals as, "Not Connected." Focus happy at frame 10. Skippy isn't happy but LtMatch shows that the rotator pointing is good. We suspect that the change in the TCC output may be the cause (see problems). We created a PR (#7381). Seeing ~1.3" 03:19Z Ramp started: lambda=117, frame 17 03:27Z Science started: lambda=119, frame 31 05:07Z Azimuth aborted, endDrift: lambda=144.5, frame 200 It was partly cloudy throughout this run except frames ~142-163 when thicker clouds ran through the FOV. 05:12Z Run 6917. SN Stripe 82 N. Focus happy from the start. Same problem with Skippy (see last run). Seeing ~1.3". 05:20Z Ramp started: lambda=142, frame 18 05:28Z Science started: lambda=144, frame 32 After having to end the last drift and back up to start this run, the "seeingRun" is giving us the wrong frame numbers. For example, for frame 18 it has the lambda as 147.2 but the mcp has lambda at 142 for that frame.
