We had a problem with cart 09, plate 2845; see log. We declared the following plates done: 2846 and 2839. We added signal to the following plates: 2850, 2639, and 2856. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- All equipment are checked and work properly. Spectro collimation set for -4C. Ventilation is started at 23:08Z. Cart 2 is mounted. Night: ------ 24:00Z Sunset 00:10Z Pulled enclosure, topped-off spectro dewars, checked top/bottom balance, did a test slew, checked fiducial crossings, and started the DIMM. 00:34Z Cart 09, plate 2845 (Marvels 168). An Fk5 star was used to find the field in bright twilight. Unfortunately, we could only find three guide stars on this plate, and the focus was different for each star. So, we decided to mount a different cart. The fibers of cart 09 were inspected after it was dismounted, and we noticed a few fibers were not at the proper focus. We informed French when he called around 02:00Z. 01:20Z Cart 02, plate 2850, (segBright) An Fk5 star was used to find the field. Four exposures were completed, but plate was not declared done.
