Spectro collimation set for 0C. Ventilation is started at 23:25Z. Cart 9 is mounted. Night: ------ 00:10Z Sunset 01:31Z Enclosure off, topped-off spectro secondary dewars, checked top/bottom balance, did a test slew, checked fiducial crossing in each axis, started the DIMM. 01:39Z Evening twilight 01:49Z Cart 09, plate 2865 (segFaint170). An fk5 star was used to find field. Under photometric skies, the seeing was about 1.4" as reported by the DIMM. One (bad) exposure was completed; see below. 02:03 48741 10.0 flat 02:06 48742 2.0 arc 02:35 48743 1501.0 target (bad) 02:40Z Cart 01, plate 2866 (segFaint170) An fk5 star was located but after a skicky and goToField, the guide stars were not found. This process was tried again without success. Finally, offsets were made at the field to locate the guide stars. The seeing was about 1.4" as reported by the DIMM; however, seeing decreased to ~3.0" by the end of the exposure. This exposure was bad ; see below. Field was found with goToField. Seeing was 2.5 to 3.5" as reported by the DIMM. During the second exposure, we lost power on site and the generator turned on for about ten minutes. A few minutes later, after this exposure readout, the telescope halted (alt, az, and rot). A goToField was done, and the guider was restarted, which restored the guide stars. Wind had increased to ~38 MPH.
