APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Thursday August 27, 2009 (MJD 55071) ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- Steph Snedden Alaina Shelden Support: French Leger Jon Brinkman Craig Loomis Robert Lupton Paul Harding ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- Shake! Get guider working properly. Finish Pointing Model ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- Beginning of the night was cloudy, but shortly after twilight we ere able to open. The entire night was spent on guider work. The fill sensors acted up again, stopping the fill prematurely in both spectrographs. Work on the guider is still not quite done yet, work to continue tomorrow night. We manually filled the spectrographs (to make sure they would) and then put them both in AUTO mode. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ----------- 00:29Z Weather: Clouds with big radar returns.
