This is a test of writing using logTool from chant.apo.nmsu.edu, with chant 
running KDE (KDE2?).  logTool started from v3_53_7 of sop.  Seems to keep up
with typing fine here.  Wonder why the X terminals in particular seem so slow? 
Does not have line wrapping yet.
