Imager bias (imager mounted on the telescope) taken during afternoon checkout. 32 stripe is too low at the moment (to finish it), so we started with 34 S. run -------- 02:47Z 3183, strip 34, S Drifting and preparing for science. Skippy says rotator and nuErr are ok. (offsets not cleared after last night). Focus good, seeing is about 1.3". 03:23Z lambda 7.8, frame 66 - science. 04:16Z bad seeing: frame 140, lambda 18.9. We were drifting for a while, then saw seeing improved, so we endDrifted and went back to lambda 16.0. 04:34Z 3184 strip 34, S 04:35Z lambda 16.8, frame - 11 science. In Focus, skippy ... happy - seeing ... we are not happy (acceptable and rising - we'll see). 06:03Z bad seeing lambda 36, frames 137 - we were continuing. 06:20Z enddrifted - seeing bad for too long (lambda 42) and the telescope is looking over the enclosure... Since we endDrifted, we decided to finish 32 stripe. Well, seeing improved when we asked for endDrift... 06:24Z Axies halted on slew to the requested position - Alt axis had problem to get to 70 deg. See problem section for cut from iop window (it was scanStripe which reported a problem). run -------- 06:29Z 3185 strip 32, N 06:30Z lambda 41, frame 12 - science. In focus, skippy is fine, seeing good. 08:04Z Done on lambda 64.5, frame 167. All in good seeing conditon. 08:05Z 3186 strip 32, S 08:07Z On slew: the same problem with axies but this time rotator didn't make it. And we got similar tcc and mcp errors. See problem section. Oops -it could be that this time our problems with "axis halted" were connected with large rotator rates(?), since we've got a large rotator error (close to the limits), after we slew to strip 32,S lambda 48... stripeAxisRates showed, that we cannot finish that part because rotator and azimuth rates are to high, neither second half of 34, S .... Next available is 33,S - so we went for it. 08:32Z 3187 strip 33, S 08:35Z lambda 25, frame 12 - skippy ok, focus ok, seeing ok. We can get most of this strip but last 5 deg in lambda... Should we have gone for the lower priority 30,N which we could complete tonight? 09:05Z We noticed a very small and thin cloud moving along the cloud camera window (in the south part of the image), the telescope points to the north clear part, so we decided we are ok and continued the scan ... 09:31Z Another small thin cloud passing close to horizon - we are still ok. but keep all our eyes (5 together, Mike's Jurek's and one Pete's eye, who showed up here for a while) on the cloud camera images... Statelite map shows that north of us some cirruses started to to form... 09:56Z Definitely clouds and this time to close to the field of view: lambda 43, frame 140 - we called clouds on the scan.... 10:17Z Clouds gone. lambda 50, frame 183. There is nothing we could do till twilight, so we continued the scan. 10:35Z endDrift - stripe NOT done. 10:44Z started endNight 11:18Z endNight was still running while I mailed the log. ---===
