Cloudy most of the night, we got two plates done: cart 2 plt 1415 and cart 9 plt 1117, useful signal on cart 7 plate 1407. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Swing shift: The primary mirror was homed and relaxed, as the transverse D MIG position error was very close to the 0.05mm tolerance. After being relaxed, the error was still slightly large, so this may be due to thermal expansion, in which case, if the optical collimation is good, the nominal values should be updated. In any case, this will soon be mute: the primary will be removed on Thursday for realuminization. The spectrographs' focus was checked and found to be good (Tamb=14.6C). Night ----- 01:15Z cart 2 plt 1415 mounted. Was too bright, so we used fk5 to get guider stars. We need only one good exposure on this plate and we got it. Again we got plate numer wrong under sop ( like in last night), it's zero! So we needed to fix a header. Plate done. 03:07Z cart 7 plt 1407 mounted. Stars on slew. The strange thing is, that two fibers in the guider image are overlaping (fib 10 and 3). Luckily we've got other stars :). We've done 2 exposures and started the third one pushing observations bejond expiration time for this plate. We didn't finish this one (missed 0.6 in S/N) - clouds won this time. 04:35Z cart 9 plt 1117 mounted. We used fk5 star to find the guide onces. Plate done with three exposures. 06:04Z cart 8 plt 1108 mounted, stars on slew. But shortly after, the exposure lost due to clouds. Plate expired on clouds. Then after long waiting: 10:19Z cart 6 plt 1497 mounted. Stars on slew. But clouds got thicker and we didn't make it.
