APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Monday February 28, 2005 (MJD 53430) ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- Swing: Howard Brewington Night: Scot Kleinman Dan Long ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- Shake / Science! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- We finished four plates tonight despite bright moon and variable high clouds. (2072 segueFaint, 2019, 1974, 1667 all survey). We appeared to have about a 10 arcsecond altitude error tonight which was not present last night after implementing the pointing model. This was true even for plates also observed last night which showed no such offset then. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon ============== Had no problems with the afternoon checkout. At Atsuko request and because of the recent spectro problems, I did another set of dithered flats this afternoon. And, I declared the previous flats bad. We plan to also do another set of spectro darks; however, they should be captured at night. This task can be performed on a cloudy night.
