Photometric. * Supernova imaging on 82 S from lambda 155 to lambda -122 in almost all good seeing and 50% illuminated Moon. Almost completely photometric. We encountered several non-critical problems all detailed in the problems section. None of the problems stopped science. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon --------- At 21:40Z the imager dewar weight read only 38 lbs. Swapped it out first. It should have lasted until later in the day, but the dewar weight history showed that it had one shorter than normal hold-time not long after the observers closed last night. During spectro focus check SOP balked when I asked it to load Cart 2 (Plate 1904). See Problems. It's a known problem from the last dark run. No other issues. Night ----- After a last-minute conference with Rick Kessler, we set up to start the night by testing SOP as a shakedown task, then we will switch to SN imaging. 01:30Z We mounted Cart 8 for SOP testing. 02:00Z We found the field, but focus was way off and the secondary nominal values were also off. We noted that the day crew had looked at the M2 MIGs today, so we figured the problem lay there. We homed the secondary. That fixed the focus problem. We finished this SEGUE faint plate in three 15-minute exposures. Just as important, we confirmed that SOP ran normally. We didn't notice any problems. 04:09Z We switched to imaging. Since it was photometric, the seeing was good and there was no Moon, we started with SEGUE stripe 79 N until the Moon rose. See the imaging details section. 06:03Z Supernova imaging on 82 S. See the imaging details section. 09:05Z My iop session went the way of the San Andreas segmentation fault. I lost all the timetracking info. The error message is in the problems section. The idAstroline file for CCD r6 continued to show the -21.80 offset. It would not go down past the third LED from the top on its display. We bypassed the arm interlocks, lowered it and re-enabled the arm interlocks and tested the motion successfully through the full range. Seeing went from good to acceptable from frame 477, lambda=-136 to frame 492, lambda=-134. This also bit us during the last dark run. Steph filed a PR to have that looked at, and manually copied over the files. At that point, Cart 2 loaded properly.
