Imaging SEGUE and SN strips. ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- SEGUE imaging completed on 79 N from lambda 126 to 162, and from 179 to -164 in good photometric conditions. Supernova imaging on 82 N from lambda 164 to lambda -125 in almost all good seeing and < 50% illuminated Moon. Skies are completely photometric. A few non-critical problems were encountered that are detailed in problem section below. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ----------- At 22:30z we got the following error message for id5 from a running watcher when we coming in for afternoon checkup. stats: done Run: 5637 Frame: 581 no response (not responding: 2005-09-25 18:02:03Z) we have no idea how this happen. The run 5637 is the SN scan we had last night. We didnot got the error message till this afternoon. Could this happen when someone extract this data set this morning or afternoon because the error message was issued about 6 hours after the drift was ended. Because of this, we need to reboot crake photo 2 to get "goDrift -bias" working. no other problems. Night: ------ 01:10 Z: Run 5639: On-telescope bias in twilight 02:15 Z: Run 5640: SEGUE Strip 79 N start lambda +121. pointing and focus were good by frame 20 (lambda +123.5). frame 37, science begins at lambda 126 frame 278, lambda 162, science ends. frame 295, lambda 164.5 ramp ends. Seeing was about 1.5" at the begining. The average seeing was around 1.2-1.3". Skies were photometric throughout. 05:10 Z: Run 5641: SEGUE Strip 79 N (last night, we scanned this strip from 162 to 180, we plan to continue the scanning untill the Moon rising. start lambda +176. pointing and focus are good since the begining. frame 171, lambda -159.5 ramp ends (06:45 Z). However, due to the Moom rose at about 06:25 Z, we think that the science data may only good to lambda -164. Seeing was about 1.1" at the begining, but went to about 1.5" at frame 55 till the end of this scanning.Skies were photometric throughout. 06:50 Z: Run 5642: Supernova strip 82 N start lambda +164. Pointing and focus are good since the begining. Frame 480 lambda -125, science ends. frame 496, lambda -123 ramp ends (11:43z).
