Most of time it was photometric and clear but seeing was variable 1.6-3.0". Spectroscopy plate 2432 is done. Landru hanged up tonight but we did not lost time. Rotator aborted during the drift. Others worked fine. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- 5C, with wind gust ~ 25mph. All systems checked and working. Spectro focus hasn't been changed and is set for 4.5C (last nights log entry was incorrect, it wasn't set for 2C). Night: ------ 23:30Z Started ventilation Mounted imager inside enclosure 00:15 Run 6551 Telescope bias in dark enclosure. 00:40 Enclosure is opened. It was cloudy in the evening, but became clear and almost photometric by the time of imaging starting. 01:28Z. Supernova stripe 82N. Run 6552, start lambda 111. We started with focus -200; focus loop moved relative focus to +37 and we are in focus starting from lambda 113.9 (frame 24). In 2-3 hours the focus has been moved down to -145, which is very close to the values on imager focus plot. The Skippy is happy from the beginning. The seeing is mostly in range 1.4-1.8" when we started. We had rotator abort at 1:55Z with rotator position 50.19 (lambda 118) but it's looks does not affect quality of our tracking, and Skippy is happier then before.:-)) 02:55Z Landru workstation stopped to respond. We did not loose the time because Mike was driving using MonexMike workstation not Landru. We could not ping Landru and hard reset it to start over. The previously obtained focus, offset and Skippy values, which were in current unsaved log, have been lost. Frames Seeing 1-24 > 2" bad 25-193 1.4-1.9" acceptable 194-230 1.8-2.5" bad 231-369 1.5-1.7" acceptable 370-400 1.8-2.5 bad E-wind makes the seeing bad 401-514 >2.5" very bad 515- 1.8-2.5" bad ? clouds around 7:50-8:30 Science is finished at lam=-125 (fr 833). 09:45Z The drift is ended at lam=-122 (fr 853). Last focus range was -100 to -200. By the frame 800 the thetaF started to increase up to 0.057 and more, but we desided to finish last two degrees and to complete the stripe. Supernova stripe is completed, but it is moon and bad seeing, we cannot observe seque imaging, so we switched to spectroscopy. Cartridge 4, plate 2432. FSGTF. Chunk. 9:26-14:14 10:21 Precal 10:27 Science (900s), 10:45 (1200s), 11:09 (1200 s), 11:31 (1200 s), 11L54(1200s). Plate is DONE with s/n=19.00, file=41368. endNight is completed.
