Snowdown! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- Regular shakeup tasks completed: Dithered spectroscopic flats, imager flats, biasCheck, checkBias, checkFlat. Clouds, snow, humidity, along with some really cold temperatures and blowing snow precluded any observing tonight. Some snow removal was done on walkways and around the 2.5m, though it might be hard to tell after the breezy conditions later in the night. Computer room AC failed. Hatch to outside open. Temperature stable around 70 F. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- 23:00Z Clouds, high wind, dust, and high humidity all gang up on us to quash any hopes of opening on time. We ran a test at the request of Robert where we setup and ran the current version of mop, then exited the mop server window and waited to see if we got the server light on the watcher to briefly go red. It did, but not all watchers at once if that is any hint (sometimes only one out of the three we had running). We then grabbed the instruments for mop and waited to see if the server light would go red on any watcher. About 15 minutes later it did (a similar frequency as before the grabbing). There were several mt servers with the PID in red on all the watchers. We restarted the servers, destroyed rather than exited the mt server, and restarted all watchers. At this point there were no mt servers on the list (black or red). Compressor probably not happy about running when it's 4 F outside. We opened the hatch on the outside but left the inside one open since the incoming air was extremely cold. After about half an hour the temperature stabilized around 70 F. 10:00Z With temperatures approaching zero F, wind speeds around 25 MPH, clouds, snow flurries, and blowing snow, we throw in the towel on 2.5m observing for the night. The PT soldiers on observing the dome, trying to see if the GUI overdue exposure bug occurs in v4_26_0a. We have every confidence endNight will rejoice when we stop the PT "observing".
