The first part of the night was lost to clouds and blowing snow. On closing, we had an altitude slip at 19 deg alt. We cleared it and all was fine. Probably an out of balance condition. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Remove data for mjds: 54791-54795, from sdsshost2 disk. All systems were checked and working properly. Spectro Focus was set for about - 2 C. 23:30Z Sawped imager dewar, mounted cartridge 6, started ventilation. Night: ------ Clouds delayed opening. 00:43Z - Rain sensor went off. We had blowing snow. Closed the doors almost all the way, but kept ventilation on. 04:16Z - Clouds clearing out, but blowing snow still a problem. 05:53Z - Winds dropped. We checked spectro focus and opened. 06:14Z - Cartridge 3, plate 3175 - SEGUE2 Nov 08c ================================================= Had a little trouble finding the FK5 star, but using the offsets from Dec. 24 observations brought it in. Seeing was poor (~2 asec fwhm)so we did a half-hour exposure. This plate was declared done with one exposure added to previous signal.
