There were no fiducial crossing issues, the axes were all still tracking, the FF petals were open, there were no optically thick clouds showing on the updating cloud camera, the mirrors looked OK. We thought perhaps there was an axis slip during tracking that wasn't large enough to register a slip, but when we crossed fiducials during a subsequent slew everything was in spec. Another thought is that one of the actuators is sticky. Yet another possibility could be we lost the stars during a seeing spike in which the SAOImage was not registering guide stars and it began trying to guide on a hot pixel or something cosmetic? We don't know why the stars would have been so elusive trying to re-acquire them, though. 09:02Z - postCalibs.
