Goal for tonight is pointing model. 00:40Z Weather: Overcast, with radar returns and rain in the basin. Wind, humidity and dewpoint all within range. Due to rain potential, we are not ventilating yet. Still monitoring conditions. afternoon check out went smoothly, imager bias was taken. All systems were working fine. Night: -------- 02:40Z it is overcast, and software group work with BOSS spectrographs. 03:50Z get a permit to slew telescope to 70 degree. 04:10Z recalculate the final setmir coordinates from last night's optical collimation work. THe numbers we got are the same as in Elena's email. 04:20Z take mirror numbers, stop collimate, set setmir to the new numbers, relax the primary, edit default.dat file, set inst=imager, restart collimate. 04:45Z get a ok from software group, move telescope to 30 degree and take another set of mirror numbers. 04:50Z still very cloudy, nearby radar return and lightnings are seen. Some stars on overhead. Software group continue to work on the BOSS spectrographs. 08:20Z Software group leav. We have control of the telescope. We mount the engCam, start ventilation, check communication of the engCam. Everything works fine. 09:10Z finished home/relax mirrors. It is overcast again. 10:00Z the weather is still not good enough for open, and we don't have enough time for the pointing model.
