Attention: clouds came into the field from fr. 86. We got a hundred frames to help make the stripe reducible. BOSS spectroscopy: c. 11 pl. 3564, 2x900 s taken, this plate is not done c. 14 pl. 3615, 5x900 s taken, this plate is done. Marvels plates exposed: 3075 B (c 1) Fibers 27,28 45, 46, 81, 82 don't have signal 3088 A (c 4) 3088 B (c 4) 3098 B (c 6) 3217 A (c 8) Missing fibers 19, 20 Craig found an unclear problem, either software or hardware, and rolled back to an older version of ICC (v1). About an hour of BOSS observations was lost. Craig commited auto-ticketing and opened ticket #421 for himself. After switching to Marvels cartridges tcc tries to correct focus itself (send it up and higher). We said "guider focus off" or uncheck the corresponding checkbox in Guider menu - no, does not help. Now we have to adjust focus with tcc every half a minute because it drives it away! The focus goes up even if telescope is in instChange position! We tried to zero the focus Kp, with no effect. Ticket opened 422 number. In the morning focus goes up even after the telescope stowed. Temperature values in TPM and in APO weather page for 2.5m are not shown. All other things work right. Night: ------- 00:03Z imager is mounted, since the weather permits. The sky is clear, Moon rise is at 00:10Z. 00:17Z bias with the imager on telescope, run 8140 00:50Z telescope opened 01:01Z goto Stripe 70 N, Run 8142 skippy is doiung all right, very close to the focus from fr. 15 (under 10 off), and completely converged at fr. 18 and after it. 01:05Z ramp started, fr. 15, lambda = 143 01:14Z science starts, fr. 28, lambda = 145 starting from fr. ~50 clouds are starting to show up at W.horizon. But we are pointing at ~ 80 deg Alt, so clouds don't affect us so far. Seeing = 1.1 - 1.3" fr. 79 ~ 80: a really faint structure went through the field. Then clear again, but more clouds are coming. Clouds hit us at fr. 86 and further. We are going to run more to get 100 fr. in science, to let the reduction converge even with non-photometric sky (seeing is still perfect). Then one more 900 s. 103213, 103214 science frames. After this the cartridge gets more than 1 hour HA, and we switch to the next cartridge. 103215, 103216 - calibrations. -- cart 13 was ready to mount when Craig found a suspicious thing with hartmann exposures: since yesterday Left and Right look swapped (as from FITS headers). It used to be Left-Right order, but now it is Right-LEft. Craig investigated if it was a code or hardware or whatever else. We were unable to observe cart. 13. time from 04:08Z to 05"06Z is lost. Interesting, that after Craig's fix we got back to the "traditional" sequence of hartmans ( Left-Right, as seen in FITS headers). Both Craig and Russell don't exclude that it may be a hardware problem (miswiring?). 05:05Z cart. 14 plate 3615 is mounted. GSOGTF 05:12Z sop hartmann spits out errors.
