Finished one plate (1040) and nearly finished another (1229). Photometric all night. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Another core dump occurred when I opened up my first iop session for the night. Photometric at sunset so we began with imaging. Run 3813, 28 N: Focus, seeing and skippy all good from frame 12. Officially, twilight did not end until around frame 35 (lambda = -29.3) but the sky levels looked ok and there were no warnings from the watcher. So, perhaps all the data from frame 12 (lambda = -33) on are good. The seeing was good for the entire run. The official time of moon rise coincided with frame 540 (lambda = 46.5) but the data are probably good all the way to the end of the run (frame 559, lambda = 49.3). Run 3814: Donuts. endDrift aborted without completing the logging information. See the Problems section for details. Donut info - frame 11 = in focus (-480.6) frame 15 = focus + 400 frame 19 = focus - 400 Frames can be found in the usual place. The moon came up and we switched to spectroscopy. Plate 1229 (cartridge 7): Found an FK5 star ok but the guide stars for the field were further offset from the FK5 offsets by about 8" (-2", +7"). Perhaps the FK5 coords are wrong (high proper motion?). This plate was not quite finished after 3 exposures (2190 s) and we had already exceeded the expiration time by 20 minutes so we moved on. The need for postCals was not realized until after the cartridge was changed. Plate 1040 (cartridge 9): Needed a spiral search to find the FK5. It was about 17" off of the cleared offsets field (+12, -12).
