Snedden, A. Nitta, J. Krzesinski, P. Newman, H, Brewington, R. McMillan, J. Dembicky, & J. Barentine ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- Science! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- Three plates declared done to match our three times opening and closing (humidity and clouds). Menu: ----- Spinachtsky de los muertos Chicken pot pie de los muertos Espaghetti de los muertos Ensalada con pollo a la Dan de los muertos Corned beef de los muertos Huevos de Buffalo con pasta de los muertos Calabaza de los muertos Pan de los muertos Multi-grained bread de los muertos Carmel pears de Harry y David y los muertos Key lime pie de los muertos Chocolate mousse para despertar a los muertos Musica de los muertos agredecidos ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Opened to a few scattered clouds and a good deal of moon. 0.3micron dust was down from last night, but still significantly higher than normal. We started (third time's a charm, right?) with cart 2 plate 1521 (merged). We set up will before twilight, so used an fk5 star, which was found with no troubles. We finished this plate in 80m of exposure and went on to: Cart 7 plate 1487 (merged). Guide stars once the previous offsets were cleared. Cart 2 ended with seeing around 1.8"; this one started at around 1.5". Seeing differences or guider focus? Before we could get more than one exposure on this plate (which was no good), the humidity jumped and we were forced to close. Conditions improved and we re-opened ~08:20Z. Cart 4, plate 1629 (photoz). GSOTGTF. We got two exposures on this plate (and finished it) before having to close again due to high humidity. We opened again ~10:10Z and started with cart 1 plate 1586. GSOTGTF. We finished this plate in three exposures without needing to close again, so went on to cart 8 plate 1585. GSOTGTF. We got one exposure on this plate before twilight forced us to close for the night for the last time. endNight rejoiced. ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4231 22:25Z 22:30Z 100 O 86.26 87.52 22 ignore ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot az el --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields alt az nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- Summary Checked (y/n): y QA Procedures Done (y/n): y (but last exposure/plate) UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 cart 2 plate 1521 22:08 23133 0.0 bias 23:14 23134 0.0 bias 23:49 23135 10.0 flat 23:53 23136 2.1 arc 23:55 23137 2.1 arc 00:54 23138 183.2 target declared test 01:15 23139 10.0 flat 01:18 23140 2.0 arc 01:42 23141 1200.1 target 02:05 23142 1200.1 target 02:27 23143 1200.1 target 02:50 23144 1200.1 target 02:54 23145 10.0 flat 02:57 23146 2.0 arc ----- sequence 23147, plate 1487 ------- 03:10 23147 10.0 flat 03:13 23148 2.0 arc 03:36 23149 1200.1 target declared bad 07:32 23150 0.0 bias ----- sequence 23151, plate 1629 ------- 08:38 23151 10.0 flat 08:41 23152 2.0 arc 09:04 23153 1200.1 target 09:27 23154 1200.1 target ----- sequence 23155, plate 1586 ------- 10:23 23155 10.0 flat 10:26 23156 2.0 arc 10:44 23157 900.1 target 11:07 23158 1200.1 target 11:29 23159 1200.1 target ----- sequence 23160, plate 1585 ------- 11:43 23160 10.0 flat 11:46 23161 2.0 arc 12:09 23162 1200.1 target ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 01:21Z 2 1521 12.85 0.0041 56.64 0.0018 190.71 0.0165 1.000050 03:08Z imager 23.23 0.0029 55.00 0.0002 199.27 -0.0225 1.000100 08:45Z 4 1629 -26.58 0.0039 54.23 0.0026 157.84 -0.0144 1.000430 10:30Z 1 1586 85.74 0.0026 59.62 0.0000 248.61 -0.0077 1.000450 11:49Z 8 1585 53.46 0.0021 76.59 -0.0007 227.76 0.0047 1.000290 ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL Stays: JL ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 01:21Z 2 1521 1.00005 -494 823 70 13 56.6 11.3 20 191 gdr 1.6" 03:08Z 7 1487 1.00010 -988 419 70 23 55.0 11.1 27 202 gdr 1.5" 08:45Z 4 1629 1.00043 -4245 -2277 70 -27 54.2 9.1 18 205 gdr 1.3" 10:30Z 1 1586 1.00045 -4442 -2425 100 86 59.6 7.9 13 200 gdr 1.7" 11:49Z 8 1585 1.00029 -2863 -1148 100 54 76.6 6.3 7 260 gdr 1.5" ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 22:10Z 54 31 13 205 (SSW) 536 - 22:42Z 57 31 17 200 (SSW) 591 - 23:14Z 56 31 16 211 (SSW) 483 - 23:46Z 54 31 16 194 (SSW) 558 - 00:18Z 52 31 11 177 (S) 638 - 00:48Z 52 31 16 175 (S) 660 - 01:19Z 52 30 15 192 (SSW) 742 - 01:51Z 51 30 18 195 (SSW) 653 - 02:21Z 52 31 14 180 (S) 731 - 02:54Z 52 39 18 186 (S) 762 - 03:25Z 51 37 22 207 (SSW) 801 - 03:58Z 51 43 16 179 (S) 806 - 04:30Z 50 43 18 181 (S) 766 - 05:02Z 51 43 23 180 (S) 725 - 05:34Z 50 42 21 190 (S) 706 - 06:06Z 50 41 14 191 (S) 831 - 06:39Z 49 43 21 189 (S) 832 - 07:11Z 49 44 19 184 (S) 901 - 07:41Z 49 40 11 203 (SSW) 877 - 08:12Z 49 37 21 206 (SSW) 904 - 08:45Z 48 39 18 201 (SSW) 788 - 09:17Z 46 41 15 198 (SSW) 1013 - 09:47Z 46 38 14 183 (S) 1097 - 10:17Z 46 35 13 199 (SSW) 1112 - 10:49Z 45 30 9 203 (SSW) 1103 - 11:19Z 45 30 7 217 (SW) 1046 - 11:50Z 43 30 7 250 (WSW) 796 - 12:20Z 43 30 10 267 (W) 748 - ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- Opened with fans on etc.: ~00:00Z Fans off, Enclosure on (high humidity): ~03:45Z Opened again:~08:20Z Closed again (humidity:) ~09:30Z Opened again again: ~10:10Z Closed for the night: ~12:10Z ---=== SOFTWARE USED ===--- IOP/SOP: v3_120_0 Watcher: v2_24_0 MCP: v5_23_0 TPM: tpm_v2_33_0 AstroDa: v14_47 TCC: TCC 2.7.1 July 22 2003 sdssProcedures: v1_77 SoS: v4_10_6 hoggPT: v1_6_9 plate-mapper: v4_3_1 ---=== MIRROR NUMBERS ===--- PRIMARY: -------- Scale: 1.000000 MIGS TONIGHT NOMINAL Axial A 0.5440 0.5460 Axial B 0.6440 0.6290 Axial C 1.0900 1.0900 Trans D -8.6060 -8.5750 Lateral E 10.8712 10.9093 Lateral F 10.8458 10.8712 GALILS Commanded: 4600. -2850. 850. -7250. 19000. 18450.
