We got signal on two plates (2053 and 2096) but didn't finish either. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Swing: ========== After Craig finished working on the DA (vis., id1-1 tape drive), he asked that I enable id-1 and do an imager bias. I did, and all was happy again. I had no problems with the afternoon checkout. I checked the spectro focus but did not adjust it. The Spectro focus numbers are in the Problems Section. Night: ========== 00:02Z Doors Open, Fans On 01:15Z We wait to open. It is partly to mostly cloudy, wind at the limit. Additionally there is precipitation, some associated with lightning strikes just to our north and northwest. 02:00Z Doors Closed (lightning now within 15 miles). 03:30Z Lightning threat faded for now. Precip threat still present. 03:55Z Doors Open again. Still cloudy. We continue to wait. 05:35Z Radar returns moving away. Only high clouds now. We had the spectro scrolling display freeze problem starting with the readout of the second science exposure. It was the mode that allowed the data to be read so we left it for now. Aborted third exposure when clouds thickened substantially. 07:40Z Sky quickly clouds over with moderately thick stratocumulus. Closing.
