APACHE POINT OBSERVATORY SDSS 2.5M OBSERVING LOG Saturday March 19, 2005 (MJD 53449) ---=== OBSERVING TEAM ===--- Steph Snedden The ET team: Jian Ge (UF) Curtis Dewitt (UF) Abishek Hariharan (UF) Julian Van Eycken (UF) Xiaoke Wan (UF) Bo Zhao (UF) ---=== OBSERVING PLAN ===--- ET engineering and hopefully first light. ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- Clouds and/or high humidity all night. Never opened. First fringes obtained, but more tweaking yet to do. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Setup of the ET systems continued throughout the night, but since it was opaquely cloudy and/or humid, no on-sky time was lost. Conditions remained poor all night, and we did not open. Fringes obtained, but final focus/tilt will be done tomorrow during the day. I had a look at the ET plug map files to get the plate center coordinates for each ET plate. They are: Plate RA center Dec center 8001 232.9 (15h 31m 36s) +26 8002 231.3 (15h 25m 12s) +32 8003 231.7 (15h 26m 48s) +20.8 (+20 48 00) 8004 250.6625 (16h 42m 39s) +20.8 (+20 48 00) 8005 133.95 (08h 55m 48s) +27.530833 (+27 31 51) 8006 156.85417 (10h 27m 25s) +55.180556 (+55 10 50) 8007 220.25 (14h 41m 00s) +44.166667 (+44 10 00) 8008 221.0875 (14h 44m 21s) -0.518611 (-00 31 07) 8009 73.0 (04h 52m 00s) +16.16667 (+16 10 00) ---=== IMAGING RUN SUMMARY ===--- Run Time Stripe Lambda Last Flavor Comments Start End Begin End Frame ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== IMAGING RUN DETAILS ===--- ---=== SKIPPY RESULTS ===--- Run Frame nFrames stars muErr muRms nuErr nuRms rot az el --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---=== LTMATCH RESULTS ===--- Run Field nFields alt az nGood rowMean rowSig colMean colSig rot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---=== SPECTROSCOPY DATA SUMMARY ===--- Summary Checked (y/n): QA Procedures Done (y/n): UT Exp Time flavor comment (S/N)^2 totals ========================================== b1 r1 b2 r2 ----- sequence 31493, plate -9999 ------- 00:45 31493 0.0 bias ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE I ===--- Time Instrument Az Alt Rot Scale pos offset pos offset pos offset ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---=== TELESCOPE OFFSETS AND SCALE II ===--- ---=== DATA TAPE SUMMARY ===--- Goes: JL N/A Stays: JL N/A ---=== FOCUS LOG ===--- setmir piston Temp Wind Time Inst scale M1 M2 Foc Az Alt (C) MPH Dir filt fwhm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 01:26Z disconnected 1.00015 -1480 337 270 75 90.0 0.7 14 259 ---=== WEATHER LOG ===--- Wind Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust DIMM Sky 00:46Z 32 23 12 248 (WSW) 775 - cloudy 01:18Z 33 22 13 265 (W) 751 - " 01:50Z 33 22 19 240 (WSW) 732 - " 02:22Z 33 23 11 254 (WSW) 813 - " 02:54Z 33 23 17 238 (WSW) 721 - " 03:27Z 32 26 16 255 (WSW) 450 - " 03:59Z 31 27 9 261 (W) 354 - most cloudy 04:31Z 31 27 15 261 (W) 376 - " 05:03Z 30 27 12 274 (W) 355 - " 05:35Z 30 27 10 275 (W) 293 - " 06:08Z 30 26 13 271 (W) 272 - " 06:40Z 30 27 18 282 (WNW) 229 - " 07:12Z 29 27 19 296 (WNW) 156 - " 07:44Z 30 27 19 276 (W) 192 - " 08:17Z 29 26 17 272 (W) 189 - " 08:49Z 30 25 21 277 (W) 189 - " 09:21Z 30 24 17 290 (WNW) 222 - " 09:53Z 30 24 21 298 (WNW) 231 - " 10:25Z 30 25 22 290 (WNW) 274 - " 10:58Z 30 26 7 260 (W) 341 - " 11:30Z 30 27 17 275 (W) 358 - " 12:02Z 30 27 13 296 (WNW) 420 - " ---=== TELESCOPE STATUS ===--- Never ventilated, never opened.
