We swapped out a full sled 1; could NOT get the new drive to load (see 'log' section) Shakeup has done without problems. We opened after midnight because of clouds. We observed 3 plate, one of them - Cart.4 #2167 - had declared as done. We sended e-mail to Brian Yanny about plate 2167, i.e. S/N=2.4 in a 30-minute exposure - was it acceptable or not. Integrated dust counts: 7500. We mounted Cartridge 06 - to ET observations. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- A new iop (v4_24_0) and astroDa (v15_12_1) were installed. The imager bias showed some vertical streaks or shadows at the edges of each chip. However, these streaks went away after ~25 frames or so. At first, we thought there might be a problem with the new DA. However, Howard pointed out that this can be caused by the enclosure lights being left on. Indeed, the enclosure lights were on. We did a second test bias with the lights off and everything looked normal. We swapped out a full sled 1. However, we could not get the new drive to load. Fritz was called and he found and fixed the problem. Apparently, you CANNOT issue the load command from either the /sled1 or /sled2 directories. Fritz will modify the script to warn us of this and Steph will modify the procedure. Spectrograph collimation was checked but not adjusted. The collimation is currently set for a temperature of approximately 10 - 11 degrees C. Nothing else to report.
