Spectroscopy. ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- We did not go to sky because of high humidity. Spectro fiber and wavelength positions were adjusted for monthly spectro check. We found out Ne lamps do not work properly. Steph filed the PR. We prepared script to check spectro stability and wait for properly worked lamps. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Spectro focus/collimation was checked but not adjusted. The focus is set for about 14-degrees C. The numbers, via collimate, are posted in the Problems Section. Watcher is reporting Sp2's mechanicals as, "Not connected." Other misc Watcher messages are posted in the Problems Section. Night: ---------- Clouds, radar return, rain on North on site. Humidity is around 78-80% and difference is 3-4C. We need to wait. We used cloudy time for some part of Spectro Monthly check. The spectrograph x and wavelength alignment was adjusted, and will hopefully still be good by the time we do spectroscopy again. Cartridge 4 was mounted. The collimator actuator positions before adjustment: sp1 sp2 a -1919 -1141 b -1920 -1181 c -1900 -1159 After the x-direction adjustment: a -2220 -1141 b -2223 -1181 c -1801 -1159 After the lambda direction adjustment: a -2220 -442 b -2223 -1884 c -1801 -1159 We prepared tcl script to run the test of spectro stability from science plan. The instruction will be send to all observers for using during cloudy nights. During the test we found out there is no stability how many Ne lamps turn on (some time two, three, all four?) when we turn them on using MCP or iop. We also see that indicators on System Status GUI works rignt. We need to fix the problem before to run tthe est of stability.
