No science. We successfully complete dithered flats but had trouble again with actuator B on sp1. (see log and problems section). ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Likely, due to the network problem we experienced this mornming, plug files for today's plugged plates did not show up in sdsshost2. We copied them over from plate-mapper. Per Howard's and Audrey's suggestions, Kaike polished his script a little. To edit CartridgeID and plteID in MapM files of Marvels plates, one needs to run edMarMfile plate#. The script will search for MapM files asociated with the plate number, and change cartridgeID for both pointing and plateID of B pointing if the "B" is there. Spectro focus was set for about 1 C. 00:00 started ventilation. Night: ------ Overcast at sunset. We started ventilation, but did not open. 03:21Z - We started a dithered flat sequence. When this was tried three nights ago, there were problems with actuator mirrors A and B on sp1. We had problems with actuator B again (messages in the problems section). Still we were able to complete one sequence. Since the problem happened for different commanded positions, it is not likely that it we had reached a limit. It could be a mechanical or communication problem with the B actuator. The successful dithered flat sequence: Flats - frames 57328 to 57342 Arcs - frames 57343 and 57344 06:15Z - Snow flurries. We shut off ventilation and closed the doors. 08:25Z - Humidity over the limit. Wind over the limit 11:38Z - The weather looked hopeless for the rest of the night.
