Science! ---=== OBSERVING SUMMARY ===--- Partly cloudy at the evening, then overcast and and high for the rest of night. We observed four exposures for the plate 3538, cartridge 12 and assumed it is done. Cart 11 plate 3648 was plugged, but plateDB showed plate 3622 on cart 11. Kyle worked with Drmitri to load the right plate. The database did not work at night. We need to restart boss-icc during the night. The spectro dewar has low weight (~ 60 lb) so could you please change it at the morning. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- 23:45Z Telescope is checked - OK Cloudy during last two hours but photometric now. Based on IR satellite we do not expect that it might be potometric long for imaging and started with spectro observations. Cart 13 plate 3588 is mounted from last night. Before we replace it to approptiate cartridge for the beginning the night, Kyle asked to make Hartmann for this cart in zenith with alt=90. 00:07 Hartmann, ff=102551,52 Moved pistons on sp1~ + 9180, sp2 ~ +15700 00:24Z We observed hartmann after move to verify that we are in focus. ff=102553,54 Cart 12, plate 3558 was mounted. 00:42Z we observed hartmann at zenit, alt=90, ff=102555-56, Collimate procedure recommended to move sp1> -4000, sp2> -10000 The move was applied. Night ========= It is almost photometric with some clouds on horizont. 00:40Z started ventilation 00:50Z - enclosure is off Cart 12, plate 3538. gotoField and found stars. seeing was 2"-2.5", focus is ~360. 01:10 bias 02:11 hartmann ff=102558,59 moved sp1>~1800, sp2> 0 02:23Z sop doCalibs with flat ff=102560 and arc ff=102561. 02:31Z science 900 sec. ff=102562 02:48Z science 900 sec. ff=102563 03:10Z science 900 sec. ff=102564 03:28Z science 900 sec. ff=102565 03:46Z hartmann ff=102566-67 for Kyle. Cart 13, plate 3588 is mounted we found the stars on gotoFiled, but guider moved stars away when clouds became to be thick. We ran gotoField again, but could not see stars because of clouds. 04:41 hartmann. sp1 right shutter did not work properly. We could see it in Boss GUI and in sdR headers. We tried run boss hartmann out, left, right and they worked right. But the next two hartmanns produced the same error. 04:46 hartmann ff=102570,71. 04:50 hartmann, ff=102572,73 Kyle adjusted his collimate program to run if even with this problem. Motors are moved to new focus postition. 05:29Z doCalibration flat=102574, arc=102575 We could not see stars and wait for clearing. But we still keep enclosure off. Kyle asked to observe plate 3648. Based on pluggers email it should be on cart 11. PlateDB show plate 3622 on cart 11. Kyle and Demitri found the problem with DB and fixed it. Now this plate is loaded it to plateDB. 07:42Z mounted cart 10 plate 3611. gotoField. We could not see guider stars because of clouds. 07:50Z. The humidity is clumbing up, clouds are worse, an we cannot observe anyway. Enclosure is on. boss ping could not recognized by STUI, the same was any other boss commands. We logged into the BOSS ICC directly, killed the process, and restart it. It fixed the problem. Kyle advised us to do this. There are several critical alerts during the night. We found out that they were disabled in the past but still needed to be be acknowledged. The list of alerts is in problem section. 09:00Z stopped ventilation as the humidity is up.
