Seeing was bad (~2.2") from 4:00Z to 7:00Z. Observed plates: cart 10, plate 3688. DONE. cart 13, plate 3785. DONE. cart 11, plate 3858. DONE. cart 12, plate 3869. DONE. cart 14, plate 3870. Well DONE. cart 17, plate 3817. not done. Problems: 1. The southeast enclosure pin was halfway in before we opened the buiding. It can only be put in a halfway when we closed the enclosure. 2. The outside manupulator refused to pick up a cartridge in the auto mode. We swicth it to manu mode for the last cartridge. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon --------- Afternoon check out went smoothly. Everytime we have seen this over the last month or so it has affected two exposures. I.e. if one fails to readout, the next will always fail, too. So track the readouts, and if an exposure only comes out for one spectrograph, take a bias. The second failure is not really a failure, it is just that the DAQ+ICC do not recover cleanly. 04:36Z science.
