Watcher reported a high Rot current. night: ------ The first four hours were cloudy for science. So we did regular shakeup tasks completed: imager flats, biasCheck, checkBias, checkFlat. We could not compress files on phoenix computer, so compressed files on sdsshost2, then scp to phoenix. We did Dithered spectroscopic flats with specFlats (NOT specFlats 15), so we got 7 flats and 2 arcs. We need feedback on if we need to redo the Dithered flats with specFlats 15 or not. We also did one of shakedown tasks: spectro bias check. The second half of the night was partly cloudy. We finished three plates: 2478, 2585, and 2674. We also declared a BAOtest plate 2638 DONE and released it to ET run preparation. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ----------- Watcher reported, "High Rot Drive Current," at 2006-12-27 21:23:05Z And, we had the never ending and always on going Watcher report of sp2's mechanicals, "Not Connected." The PT failed during a bias sequence and then again during the dome flats. I tried to do a tb after the dome flat problem but realized no success. See the PT log for more details. This same type problem happened a few day ago, and as before, I had to kill and restart the mop session and GUI. The spectro focus was checked but not adjusted. The temp is set to about +3 degrees C. See Problems Section for the focus numbers via IDL. I cleared some space on host2 by RMing the remaining MJDs from November. LAMOST visitors did not have a chance to see imaging, we mounted imager and imaging seque stripe 1540 N to show them how SDSS imaging works. 11:15Z started goDrift. Run 6651. We called this run ignore. 11:30Z Sky was too cloudy to see stars. 11:45Z enclousre on. 12:15Z Shannon had a problem in copying ircam images during the process.
