After we open, dust was still high. We had an integrated dust count about 18 K hours. Please check the mirror. Run # 7115, on-telescope bias. Run # 7117, 82 N lambda 160 to -145 (include ramps). got useful signals on two plate: 2695 and 2712. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- All systems checked and working properly. Ran 'byebye' on 54394 and 54395. As of 21:38Z there are 39G available on /data partition and 609G available on /files partition. Spectro focus set for ~5C. 23:18Z - Began ventiltion. Doors and louvers opened, fans on. Night: ------ 23:40Z mounted imager but keep door open for ventilation. 00:18Z close door for on-telescope bias run. 00:25Z run 7115 on-telescope bias. At frame #30, watcher complained about no response of ad1, but iccSoundOff showed ad1 was available. Anyway, we rebooted the crate before we moved the enclosure. The bias run should be okay. 00:40Z enclosure off. 00:47Z test bias run-7116 after rebooting the ad crate. The dust count was up to 3.3K, and humidity at 57%. Because of the combination of high dust count, relatively high humidty, clouds, and bad seeing (DIMM says it was worse than 2.0", sometimes up to > 3.0"). So we decide to stop ventilation, move enclosure back on to protect the telescope. 04:20Z dust down to about 2.5K, humidity at 64%. But the seeing was above 4.5". We decided to wait. 04:45Z, seeing seems getting better, start ventilation. 05:20Z enclosure off. 05:50Z run # 7117, 82 N. Focus is good since frame 25, lamda 160. Skippy is okay with nu error about 10.5". Started ramp frame 25 (lamba 160). Seeing was about 1.1" as seeingRun reported. At frame 240, lambda about -168, clouds came in. end ramp at frame # 392, lambda -145. 09:35Z switch to spectro. cart 4, plt 2695 (segue faint). Fk5 used to get the field. We got two exposure on this plate, but the first one did not make it to S/N^2 > 2.0. We did not declare it bad because it maybe still useful. 11:20Z cart 7, plt 2712 (segue). FK5 used.
