We observed the following: 3417B - HD68988 (partly cloudy) 3277A - HD80606 (partly cloudy) 3416B - HD89744 (partly cloudy 3412A - K8 (partly cloudy) 3412B - K21 (partly cloudy) 3489A - FIELD1349 (worse clouds) 3489B - KEPLER3, TRES-2 (worse clouds) 3498 - COROT-EXO-2 Preselection plate (mostly clear) Cartridge 6, side A spectra 15, 16 look to be dead. This is green bundle, #7, blue, yellow. Cartridge 6, side B had two science spectra without fringes. It could just be that they are faint stars and the conditions were bad, but please check spectra 87, 88 - yellow bundle #3, black, yellow. Cartridge 7 side B had three pairs that looked dead, but may have been faint stars in cloudy condition. Still, please check: spectra 7,8 - green bundle #3, black, yellow spectra 23, 24 - green bundle #11, green, yellow spectra 67, 68 - green bundle #14, red, magenta The outside manipulator arm is getting balky, and may need tuning. It stops and beeps a lot, when there is no reason for it. The spectro dewar will need replacing during the day, but should last through morning. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- all systems checked. collimation checked and corresponded T=+10.0 C 23:00Z - Downloaded the latest MJCI, MJDD for Steph's laptop. MJCI was fine, but MJDD wouldn't start, giving a "null pointer" error. We tried starting MJDD on the observer account on Hoth and got the same error. We called Nathan, tried it on the et1 account on Hoth - no good there either, so it wasn't just an install problem on the laptop. Frank was called in. He sent an error fix (delete a chooseNpackets line in one of the java scripts, and use the default), but he also installed a new version of the software with the fix included to his website.
