Paul worked on the B-side guide fiber problem this afternoon. 23:45Z - Ventilation started 00:23Z - Enclosure opened 00:23Z - BOSS 20-sec dark taken. No guider flat or dark taken because of Paul's work. Cartridge 12 (sparse-plug) removed from the bay and put on a dolly. Cartridge 14, plate 3523 was placed in the bay, then on the telescope. This is an astrometric plate, and we will try the first part of the sequence first thing tonight. Night: ------ Interesting notice: we took the first bias, but it got stuck doing "Prereading" every minute. After the issued "exposure abort" and "exposure readout" the bias read out, but exposure time in its header is ~560 sec, not zero. 00:15Z enclosure off biases and darks taken. Plate 3523 cart. 14 is the astrometric plate. We have ideal conditions for it: seeing in under 1", according to DIMM, and , as usual, not better that 1.4" according to the new guider (but, not worse than 1.6"). Sky is photometric.
