Not finished yet. Full set of LED flats were obtained for 1 position of LEDs (1" above the middle of the slithead). We had one Alt slip tonight, when opened, close to 6 deg. The SP1 LN2 dewar is under 100 lbs. Exposure status at "BOSS" instrument in STUI changes to the "idle" ~ 4-9 sec before the actual readout is finished. A new feature? ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- Telescope and actors checked. 00:35Z started ventilation. 00:40Z additional neutral filter is installed on the e-camera, by request of Paul. Night: ------ 01:40Z dome opened Alt axis slip happened close to 6 deg Alt. Telescope balance adjusted (with spectro collimators removed the balance is at ~ 200). Task #1 is the guider grid test. 02:57Z FK5 star found, centered, grid script is not working, so we do offsets by hands. 3x3 grid obtained. Results are reduced with 3.5m instr. block software with the help of Jack. Instrument block updated, then ring test was run, then the block updated again. After few irerations right orientation and offsets were adjusted, but time was not enough to finish this task (Paul's time was ~ 5 am). The final run will be done tomorrow (ring test only, but may be with the grid test, too), after Paul have a talk to Russell. Paul's note: the grid test cannot be run with non-zero "instrument offsets". All offsets have to be "boresight offsets". 09:25Z dome closed for LED flat tests. 09:30Z cart 12 is mounted with the LED device to run LED flats.
