That makes 11 now. The solenoid valve on the umbilical tower that links the 180 l imager dewar to the 10 l dewars got stuck open. A phone call to Jon Brinkmann solved the problem. Lots of good food. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon checkout: ------------------- DAs ok, spectro guider ok, MIG values ok. Spectrographs had to be focused (focusing details included in the problem section). Night: ------ Heavy clouds kept us from opening. Snow flurries off and on from 0700Z to 1000Z. The clouds broke up around 1015Z but blowing snow and later, humidity kept us closed. We never opened. The solenoid valve on the umbilical tower that links the 180 l imager dewar with the 10 l dewars was stuck open. We called Jon Brinkmann and he helped us figure out the problem. A rap on the solenoid with a flash light unstuck the valve. Jon will monitor the dewar weight from home. Thanks Jon. During shutdown checkout, we noticed that two of the pressure gauges on the heater-chiller were reading high.
