Big thanks to the day crew and all involved to help us to get sepctrographs back on the sky :) One plate done: cart 3 plt 2065 imaged: strip 1300 S from mu: 39 -> 82 including the ramps. Problems: A small problem with endNight, see the log. But on the second try it finished fine. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ----------- The checkout was uneventful. The spectro focus was checked and adjusted; see Problems Section for Spectro Numbers. As instructed, I deleted mjd: 53675 from host2 and files1. The SDSS camera bellows pressure was at 44.5-psi today. I put misc. Watcher messages in the Problems Section. Night: ----------- Openning delayed because of clouds. 05:25Z cart 3 plt 2065 mounted (segue faint). SOGTF. After we started with spectroscopy, the sky cleared out. It's photometric. Seeing variable. DIMM is usless - it shows the seeing over 3" while we have 1.4-1.8" (it's probably because of high wind which shakes the small telescope). plate done. 08:15Z Switching to imaging. The telescope aborted in altitude on a test slew (alt slip detector went off - rebooted). We scanstripped the lelescope to 1300 S, then goDirft printed an error: im> goDrift Flavor of this run (science, bias, calibration, engineering, ignore, help) []: science Stripe, Strip (e.g, 22,N or SS,N) []: 1300,S Please provide a one line comment [] start mu +36 we issued another scanstripe and saw the telescope unrapping, then goDrift went without any problems. Some time lost due to that. 08:29Z run 5817, strip 1300 S. Photometric, skippy is good, seeing is good. All good since the beginning, however because above delays we started a ramp 5 minutes outside the start times for that strip. The ramp begins at frame 25, mu 39. Science starts at frame 40, lambda 41. Marginal photometric conditions since frame 273, mu~ 82 (cloud camera sigma went up to 6.36, then down below 6.0, at frame 288 sigma was ~6.5 and again dropped below 6.0, then frame 294, 297). 11:22Z Frame 300, mu 80 - end of science. The seeing got acceptable on frame 311 mu 81.5 for a few frames. Frame 313 , mu 82 end of the ramp. Since we have 25 minutes till the end of the night, we continued imaging. Bad seeing since frame 340, mu 86.1. 12:00Z End of the run (frame 362, mu 89.5). Run 362, bias on the telescope. While trying endNight we saw: im> endNight Error: ICC id1 (crate 1, board 0) is not available Bad ICC and it showed the iop promt. Apearently ids 1,2,3 were unhapy. We rebooted them and the endNight run ok.
