Finished one plate (2578) and obtained some signal on two other plates(2622 and 2390). tccMon is still unhappy; see Howard's notes at today's and last night's log. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ----------- As for the past several days, watcher was still reporting sp2's mechanicals as "Not connected." tccMon acted atypically again today, as well, although I was able to use tccMon in a normal manner after about 20-minutes. For the past three days, FYI, the tccMon sessions seemed to pause for several seconds after I issued the "tccNode" command. And then, I got the (Presuming success) message, that's posted in the Problems Section, which appeared in my tccMon session. At first, commands such as show scale or show focus were not being displayed via tccMon. After a several minutes, however, tccMon starting working normally. Spectro focus was checked but not adjusted; they are set to a temp of about -2.5 degrees C. The focus numbers are posted in the Problems Section. During an imager bias, Watcher complained that the vs+ voltage of CCD-55 was incorrect. I cleared the Watcher error, but it returned a few minutes later. After the bias run completed, I cleared the watcher message again and started another bias run. The Watcher error message did not return. I also checked the voltage; it was 7.05 I changed the imager dewar. Night: ----------- We have had delay with opening because of high humidity and low clouds. 01:30Z started ventillation 01:45Z opened. The sky became to be clear but the humidity is high and diff around 3.6. Cart 7, plate 2622, segue. 02:16Z preCalibs 02:23Z science with 1200 sec exposure. 02:51Z science, The humidity went up and diff down rapidly. When diff went down to 2.8 we aborted the exposure and closed. We obtained s/n=7.6 and have to contine. After closing the diff has been 1.6-1.8 for 3 hours. 06:20Z Humidity is down to 72 and the diff is up by 4.0 but some frost started to form on enclosure walls, cartridge bay door, manipulator and rails. The sky is clear but we cannot open. When the difference goes up to 6 and frost started to dissapear in some place (at least the formation has been stopped) and after consultation with Steph we opened telescope again. 08:45Z Opened enclosure Cart 5, plate 2578, chunk with one previous exposure.
