We lost the last few hours due to high humidity and low dewpoint depression. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: --------- The door on the north-east side of the upper enclosure does not always close enough to lock. During the afternoon spectro checkout, I discovered that sdsshost2 had two plugMap files for cart 2, plate 2474; see below: SOPGUI: loadCartridge -latest 2 2474 /linuxp/prd/iop/v4_37_0/params/cartridgeInfo.par Loading map: /data/spectro/plugMapM/plPlugMapM-2474-54328-02.par Reading /data/spectro/plugMapM/plPlugMapM-2474-54328-02.par Taking absolute values of GUIDE fiberId Taking absolute values of ALIGNMENT fiberId User supplied cartridge number 2 does not equal plate mapped cartridgeId 5 Jon B. looked on plate-mapper:/ and found two (plate 2474) plugMap files there as well. He commented-out the bad files, and sdsshost2:/data/spectro/plugMap* was happy again. Seeing was rather constant at 1.3" during the imaging. Scattered clouds began to appear on the cloud camera towards the end of the science run, however we kept a close eye on the cloud camera to ensure that there were no clouds where the telescope was pointed. During ramp-down clouds moved into the strip. 04:53Z - Cartridge 9, plate 2565, seguefaint149. Needed an fk5 to acquire the field. 04:57Z - Clouds moved in. The sky mostly cleared about a half-hour later. 05:29Z - Pre-Calib. 05:36Z - 20-minute exposure. 05:59Z - 20-minute exposure. 06:23Z - 20-minute exposure. 06:46Z - Post-Calib. Seeing: 1.3" - 1.6". FINISHED THIS PLATE. 07:09Z - Cartridge 6, plate 1963, seguefaint102. Guide stars found on gotoField. 07:14Z - Pre-Calib. 07:20Z - 20-minute exposure. 07:37Z - Exposure ended prematurely because of rising humidity and decreasing dewpoint depression. 1.0 um dust counts have risen above 2000 counts as well. 07:39Z - Post-Calib. Seeing: 1.7" - 2.0". 07:52Z - High humidity and low dewpoint depression.
