Rebooted the photo and astro crates in response to the 'no response' Watcher errors. Everything came back happy and responsive. As of 22:11Z there are 38G available on /data and 602G available on /files. Did not run 'byebye' today. Spectro focus set for ~3C. 23:19Z - Began ventilation. Doors and louvers opened, fans on. See Imaging Details for more information. 04:58Z altitude (MGT: bad alt amp (0 now 0) (2007-10-31 04:58:40Z sdssmcp): 2007-10-31 04:58:50Z ) 04:58Z We had a Alt-2 Glentek failure and needed to call Dan. We first tried to bypass the problem by defeating the interlock of alt_2_motor perm. In fact, we bypassed both alt-motor perms but with no success. Next, while Dan called French, we tried swapping out the bad Glentek. However, the spare amp indicated that there was a motor-current-limit problem. So, we turned off the spare. When we talked to Dan a few minutes later, he confirmed via his conversation with French that the scope will work with only one alt motor. So, we went back to the lower enclosure and bypassed the Alt_motors up/down switches as well as the alt_motor perms, which got the alt axis working again with just Alt motor one. The spare Glenteck is still mounted in the rack but not turned on. The bad Glenteck is on the floor of the lower enclosure at the south wall. We lost ~1.5 hours to this problem. When French called later, we let him know that we were back on sky with just alt motor one. He asked that we leave the alt axis in its bypassed state, so we did. 06:22Z Run #7112, scanStripe 82 N -startLambda 167.1 with seeing about 1.1" as reported by seeingRun.
