Could the plug staff please check it? Thanks! Although we requested that Cart 08 be put in the bay for tonight's operation, it was not there. It was in the south bay, and we are not trained to use the Wookie. And, the Wookie project is in a state of flux, so do not know if it's safe to use if we were trained. We called Dan for his advice. Two nights ago, I mounted cart 01 and set the counter-balance weights to ~225 to balance the scope after the engCam was removed. Tonight, however, I had to move the weights to about 290 to acquire proper balance. Did something change on the scope during the past few days? We are still getting some telescope vibration during slews, however, it's less than previous. I noticed it twice while the scope was moving to instChange. Both times, the scope's alt was between 85 to 90 degrees when it happened. And, the rot and az axes were moving in opposite directions. MARVELS ThAr lamp counts are normally >300; they are now ~30. Should we be concerned? ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- 23:00Z Started the checkout 23:10Z Recorded the software versions 23:19Z Recorded and checked the mirror numbers 23:23Z Checked the actors.
