We observers the next Boss plates: cart 11 plate 4290 - Done cart 12 plate 3400 - need one more exposure cart 16 plate 4307 - just got some good signal We observerd the next Marvels plates: Plate 3084A cart 1 Plate 3219A Cart 4 Plate 3634B, cart 5 (9/10 broken) plate 3711A, cart 7 (33/34 broken) plate 3091A, cart 6 (53/54) (49/50 fiber broken for all plates). We had several problems which affected our efficiency: 1. We didnot have guider stars on gotoField for all marvels plates. 2. We had a problem to find guider stars as guider GUI had some image grey scale problem. 3. Guider & gcamera mis-behavoured during the night. Gcamera stopped and we need to restart its actor. Guider continued integration while was stopped. Guider did not show every image in sequence especially when could not find guider stars. 4. Cartridge bay rack did not stop on right height and two time we could not move cartridges out. We needed to move rack down and to middle level back after that. Spectro dewars need to be replaced. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ----------- All actors and systems were checked, no problem to report. Paul was testing on guider code. 22:30Z: started ventilation. 22:35Z: mounted cart 11. 23:00Z: bias, 15-min dark, flat, arc were taken on cart 11. The flat and arc are declared test. Full hartmann tests indicated all four cameras are in focus with the current setting. Night: ------ 00:02Z enclousre off. xx:xx:xx loadCart : ct=11, pl=4290, sd=A In twilight, we ran a test to compare quick and full hartmanns. The result is that they agreed within the expected variance (where the quick hartmann moves to a position where both blue and red values are in spec). 00:48:30 sop.gotoField hart ff=122701,02; calibs 03,04 Inspite of our good collimation and follow up good quick hartmann, we got out of focus wsigma of arc. science ff=05,06,07 ff=07 has been hung during readout. Craig investigated the problem. It was the same problem as we thought was fixed in ticket #895. Sp1 data were read. Craig cleared up sp2 data. The next in the sequence exposure immediatly started but we stopped it (ff=08). We used SOP GUI Stop and it worked perfectly properly:-)) We made "clearing" bias with the same sp1 data but not sp2.ff=09 -- We were working with guider scale correction. It was loks like problem with guider flat. We investigated, did not find anything wrong. We applied "guider restart", it did not help. We did not see guider images at all. 05:26 We gotoField to check side side B, but got totally messed up. Guider stopped but continue to run integration bar. Applying offsets and checking raw images Stephanie could find stars. Stephanienoted that while she was looking for stars using guider "on", guider skipped did not display many images and skipped them. Some example of the list of guider images is in problem section, where you can see broken list. So, we starts to use guider oneExposure until find stars. We started science exposure. During the exposure, guider stopped itself.
