We had clouds, rain, and/or high humidity and never opened. ---=== OBSERVING LOG ===--- Afternoon: ---------- First thing I found out when I came in to APO (21:53Z or 3:47 APO time) was watcher imager problem. Camera serial line: no reply (CAMSTAT: 2004-08-15 13:09:22Z) Camera Micros: phase micro (UNACKNOWLEDGED: 2004-08-15 13:11:43Z) exec micro (UNACKNOWLEDGED: 2004-08-15 13:11:43Z) These were critical errors but for some reason no warning e-mails were sent. I've checked power supplies at the imager site and found nothing out of spec. I called Criag and we were checking if that was comunication problem, but it wasn't. We could communicate with camera (at least when I came). All voltages at imager front pannel and chips temperatures were fine. It looks like at 7:11 (13:11Z) past morning camera rebooted on it's own. I called Dan and we decided to leave imager in this state for Connie to see what is going on, before iacking (It's Sunday, so I couldn't reach Connie, but I sent her an e-mail). Meanwhile I've done the rest of afternoon checkout. Telescope ok. spectrographs ok, in spec. MIGs: E axis slightly out of spec, I collimated E,F axies and got everything whithin nominal values. night: ------ 2:00Z With respect to the critical errors mentioned above, we rechecked the imager's power supply voltages (front and back) and called Jim Gunn. After he also checked the voltages, he instructed us to do an iack and setPowerAmpsOn. We did so and took an imager bias. The bias looked as it did last night, i.e., photo-dewars 2-6 have the ripple/herringbone patterns(see last night's log for more details). 03:00Z Clouds and high humidity at the end of twilight, so we waited. 10:05Z The weather conditions never changed, so we went home.
